During Pregnancy, Go All-Natural

Have you ever wondered why there are so many restrictions to pregnant women? Avoid coffee, avoid sweets, avoid salty foods, avoid sleeping late…. the list is obnoxiously long!

The reason behind all admonitions is this: A pregnant woman cannot take medicines, and the simple pleasures in life that we enjoyed when we didn’t have a little one beneath our hearts are sadly too bad for us. Coffee causes headaches, sugar causes gestational diabetes, late nights cause dizziness. All these things used to be so easy to treat just by popping a pill, but not anymore. Anything you drink will be taken up too by your baby.

While you may be feeling pain inside your head and you need to take paracetamol, he doesn’t have a headache, and drinking the drug could harm him.

There are some natural remedies that are available in the instance that you have become too depressed to resist these temptations and ended up with some pains. Herbal products are available everywhere. In fact, even viagra has an organic counterpart, herbal viagra, which cures erection disorders in the same way as viagra does.

Papaya fruit - The really ripe ones can aid constipation, and can even alleviate the unnatural ertus some pregnant women feel. This remnds me of what Angelina Jolie said about sex during pregnancy: “Sex while pregnant feels so good” and she’s right. It’s the hormones speaking.

Banana fruit - particularly the small ones (what we, pinoys, call “senyorita”), which can help you when you have loose bowel movement. It also contains potassium, which isn’t readily available.

Natural facial wash (when you have acne) - Pregnant women are vain! That our bodies are changing means we should find other ways to keep on feeling like a diva. There are acne cures that we used in the past but we could no longer use them because we aren’t supposed to take anything that could reach our blood streams. Skin is also an organin our bodies and whatever we put on could just make its way inside when it gets absorbed.

Citrus fruits can be used as astrngents. Use avocado on your face to exfoliate during pregnancy and coconut oil on your belly. The oil is used to lighten stretch marks, but I can honestly say that it was NOT effective. Although, some would probably say that my stretchmarks could have been worse had I not applied some coconut oil.
