Have you ever heard how two parents hold a conversation? It’s funny.
I chatted with my hubby’s high school classmate today and the conversation revolved around our kids and how proud we are of them. He has a 2-year-old daughter, which he kept saying will be the next big thing in the pageant scene.
I downloaded the transcript of our hour long chat to show my hubby and was so amused when I read it. Whenever he told a sentence relating a funny story about his daughter, I’d tell a corresponding story about AJ. And so on. Not a sentence was a query or a supporting question to what the other said…. but we somehow made sense.
It’s so funny how parents can talk all day about their kids and make sense to other parents. Like the niceties of saying “how nice! really?” become fillers to pauses more than real conversation elements.
