My best friend is pregnant! I’m so happy because we are going to be moms together.

We were friends since college and through the years, we went through the nitty-gritty of finding ourselves and our places in this world. And, now we are going to share something so beautiful.

The first thing she asked was if I felt a bit of discomfort during the first month. It’s funny because that particular ‘pain’ that she’s talking about was the exact same thing that got me buying a pregnancy kit.

Some people say that the pain is probably the new embryo embedding itself on the walls of the uterus. But I think it’s more of the female organs adjusting themselves to accommodate the baby.

While on the phone, we talked simultaneously and loudly, but we managed to understand each other as we always do.
