Furnishing the Home Office
Moms are evolving, and in a good way. Gone are the days of being content with the men bringing home the bacon. Mommies now are super people who can work at home and take care of everything else too. There has to be some space for mommies who work at home. You remember the old adage about ‘not bringing home work with you’? This could be a problem when your work is at home. A space to call ‘work’ is key to setting priorities. A mom may get distracted with a lot of things, and it takes business-like corner of the house to get her in the mood to work, while the baby is sleeping or doing school assignments.
A home office is easy enough to set up with the right office furniture. No, the makeshift ones like chairs and small tables just won’t do. I am partial to metal filing cabinets and wooden bookcases because of durability and aesthetics.
The furnitures featured in these photos could easily last 8-15 years. A very sound investment, and a great addition to a home office. Organization is one factor that makes working at home successful. Files accumulate over time, and the last thing that any mother wants is more clutter.
